Albany Medical Center’s Division of Plastic Surgery invites applications for a Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The ideal candidate will contribute to clinical care, education, and research.

The role emphasizes microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial and hand surgery, with opportunities to expand transgender care and aesthetic practice, and to deliver care at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with board eligibility or ABPS certification (or foreign equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Reconstructive focus including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, and general reconstruction/microsurgery.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Provide breast reconstruction services at a nearby affiliate hospital.
• Expand transgender care and aesthetic practice.
• Deliver clinical care at Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.
