Albany Medical Center's Division of Plastic Surgery invites applications for a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The role emphasizes reconstructive surgery, teaching, and research, with opportunity to shape a growing program.

The successful candidate will participate in trauma call coverage, breast reconstruction, craniofacial and hand surgery, and clinical care at affiliate sites and VA Medical Center. A commitment to education and research is essential.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in clinical and didactic teaching
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required

Responsibilities

• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Provide breast reconstruction services at a nearby affiliate hospital.
• Expand transgender care and aesthetic practice.
• Deliver clinical care at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.
• Join an integrated residency program and contribute to teaching and research.
