Job summary

The Division of Plastic Surgery at Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We are expanding our clinical, educational, and research programs and welcome candidates who are eager to contribute to this growth.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative and collegial faculty dedicated to advancing clinical care, teaching, and research, with opportunities to shape practice including breast reconstruction and transgender

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in clinical and didactic teaching.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for plastic surgery patients and participate in outpatient and inpatient services.
• Engage in resident and medical student teaching within the integrated residency program.
• Contribute to clinical research and scholarly activities within the division.
