Albany Medical Center’s Division of Plastic Surgery is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We are expanding clinical, educational, and research programs and welcome candidates eager to contribute to this growth.

The successful candidate will engage in reconstructive procedures including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, and general reconstruction. Teaching and research are integral to the role.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the ABPS, or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical teaching ability.
• Fellowship in microvascular surgery is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in reconstructive surgery including microvascular, craniofacial, hand and general reconstruction.
• Participate in teaching within the integrated residency program and medical student education.
• Engage in research activities to advance the tripartite mission of clinical care, teaching and research.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
