Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a plasmapheresis technician to perform venipuncture procedures and operate plasmapheresis equipment in a California facility.

You will ensure donor safety, maintain regulatory compliance, and document all activities to support high-quality plasma products. The role requires at least a high school diploma, basic medical environment experience, and the ability to follow SOPs and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 3 months' experience in a medical/healthcare setting preferred.
• Documentation training completed before performing duties independently.

Responsibilities

• Execute venipunctures and plasmapheresis while maintaining quality and safety.
• Operate plasmapheresis machines and respond to alarms or events.
• Monitor donor conditions for comfort and plasma quality.
• Ensure compliance with FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP regulations.
• Maintain donor confidentiality per SOPs and verify donor ID.
• Maintain equipment setup, labeling, and calibration as required.
• Document logs and report unsafe situations to management.
• Drive training efficiencies and perform routine QC on equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
