Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is hiring a Plasmapheresis Technician to perform venipunctures and run automated plasmapheresis procedures. You will ensure donor safety, accurate labeling, and strict adherence to SOPs and regulatory requirements.

You will document machine logs, maintain inventory, and support QA through quality checks and continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires reliability, flexibility, and strong customer service skills, in a fast-paced donor center environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three months in a medical or health care environment preferred.
• Completed training documentation before performing duties independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, GMP).
• Deliver high-quality donor service and maintain donor confidentiality.
• Verify donor ID, monitor conditions, and ensure donor comfort and product quality.
• Set up equipment for venipuncture and plasmapheresis, label units correctly.
• Operate plasmapheresis machines, troubleshoot alarms, and manage adverse events.
• Maintain logs, perform routine calibrations, and prep/dispose materials per safety protocol.
• Keep work areas clean, stock supplies, and manage inventory using FIFO.
