Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a Plasma Donation Technician to execute plasmapheresis procedures, perform venipunctures, and ensure donor safety and comfort. You will support compliance with FDA SOPs and maintain meticulous machine logs.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least three months in a medical setting, with training completed prior to performing duties independently. This role emphasizes customer service and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three months' medical/health care experience or equivalent.
• Training completed before duties performed independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, GMP).
• Maintain excellent donor experience and customer service in line with company values.
• Stock and replenish supplies; keep a clean, professional environment.
• Verify donor ID and confidentiality according to SOPs.
• Set up equipment and supplies; label units and samples accurately.
• Perform venipuncture and plasma collection to high standards of quality and safety.
• Operate plasmapheresis machines; respond to alarms and donor events.
• Monitor donor safety and plasma product quality; ensure donor comfort.
• Calibrate/maintain plasmapheresis machines; replace equipment as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Drive training efficiencies to improve timeliness and compliance.
• Troubleshoot alarms and perform daily/monthly QC on equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
