Job summary

CSL Plasma Processing Technician position involves ensuring accurate sampling, testing, shipping and storage of donor plasma. You will follow SOPs and report to the Assistant Center Manager.

Responsibilities include collecting plasma samples with sterile technique, verifying unit labels, sealing units, completing shipping paperwork, and monitoring temperatures. High school diploma required; three months in lab/warehouse preferred. Cross-training and potential bilingual requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic math calculations required.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Store plasma units properly according to SOPs; may include unsuitable plasma units and samples.
• Verify unit labeling accuracy by matching pre-printed and dynamic labels.
• Use sterile technique to draw samples and employ heat sealer to maintain sterility and quality per SOPs.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation; ensure packing and shipping per SOPs.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures; report equipment issues and record variances.
• Perform daily calibration of equipment per SOPs.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system as per SOPs.
• Understand policies related to hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment; follow HSE and OSHA policies; promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required at employer discretion.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
