Job summary

CSL is seeking a Plasma Center Technician responsible for the accurate sampling, testing, shipping and storage of plasma collected from donors. You will report to the Assistant Center Manager and work on site to ensure product quality and compliance with SOPs.

Responsibilities include sterile sample collection, proper labeling, shipping documentation, equipment calibration, and maintaining donor data integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Ensure plasma units are properly stored according to SOPs.
• Verify that pre-printed labels match dynamic labels for accurate unit labeling.
• Use sterile technique to draw samples and ensure sterility and quality of plasma unit samples.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation as required.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report any equipment issues.
• Conduct daily calibration of equipment per SOPs.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain confidentiality of all donor, personnel, and center information.
• Maintain a clean and efficient work environment and follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas and occasionally work overtime.
