Job summary

CSL Vifor in Weslaco, TX is seeking a Plasma Center Technician responsible for accurate and timely sampling, testing, shipping and storage of donor plasma. You will report to the Assistant Center Manager.

You will collect plasma samples using sterile technique, ensure correct labeling, monitor freezer temperatures and maintain compliant documentation in the donor information system. Some cross-training and bilingual capability may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ months in a lab or warehouse setting preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move units to the freezer per SOPs.
• Ensure plasma units are stored according to SOPs.
• Verify labeling accuracy between pre-printed and dynamic labels.
• Use sterile technique and heat sealer to maintain sterility of samples.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation as required.
• Monitor freezer/refrigerator temperatures and report variances.
• Conduct daily equipment calibration per SOPs.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
