Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a Plasma Center Technician to accurately sample, test, ship and store donor plasma in Wichita, KS. You will work under the Assistant Center Manager and follow SOPs to collect plasma, move units to freezers, and ensure correct labeling and storage.

Responsibilities include maintaining sterile technique, preparing shipping docs, monitoring temperatures, logging donor data, and supporting safety and compliance with HSE/OSHA policies while protecting donor confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Ensure plasma units are properly stored according to SOPs.
• Verify labeling accuracy by matching pre-printed and dynamic labels.
• Use sterile technique to draw samples and ensure sterility of plasma unit samples per SOPs.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation as needed.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report variances.
• Calibrate equipment daily according to SOPs.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor information system as outlined in SOPs.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
