Job summary

CSL Vifor Wichita Plasma Center is seeking a Plasma Collection Technician to ensure accurate sampling, testing, shipping and storage of donor plasma. You will collect samples using sterile technique, move plasma units to the freezer, verify labeling, document donor data in the electronic system, and help maintain clean, safe work areas.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and at least 3 months in a lab or warehouse; ability to lift up to 25 pounds; willingness to work overtime and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Ensure plasma units are stored properly according to SOPs and handle unsuitable units.
• Verify pre-printed label matches dynamic label for accurate unit labeling.
• Use sterile technique and heat sealer to maintain sterility and quality of samples.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation per SOPs.
• Monitor freezer/refrigerator temperatures and report variances.
• Calibrate equipment daily as required by SOPs.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies and promote safety in all actions.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
