Job summary

CSL Vifor in Toledo, OH is seeking a Plasma Center Technician responsible for sampling, labeling, and storing donor plasma, and for shipping and documentation. You will report to the Assistant Center Manager and ensure SOPs are followed to keep product quality and donor safety high.

The role requires basic math, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict safety standards and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred (min 3 months).
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Store plasma units per SOPs; handle unsuitable plasma units and samples.
• Verify labeling accuracy by matching pre-printed and dynamic labels.
• Use sterile technique to draw samples and apply heat sealing for sterility.
• Pack and ship samples per SOPs; prepare shipping and unit disposal docs.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures; report variances.
• Calibrate equipment daily as required by SOPs.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor information system.
• Follow HSE/OSHA policies; maintain confidentiality of information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
