Qualifications

• Active state licensure in one of paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, naturopathic training, or MD/DO.
• Minimum 1 year in healthcare or clinical training.
• Experience in plasma or blood collection center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and supervise approved immunizations.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure or certification.
• Promote positive donor relations and conduct confidential donor interviews for suitability.
• Coordinate with Center Medical Director to address donor medical questions and provide information to staff.
• Review donor screening results and health assessments to determine continued suitability.
• Notify and counsel donors on reactive test results and refer for follow-up as needed.
• Explain informed consent, immunization schedules, and donor rights during procedures.
• Handle medical emergencies and maintain emergency kits per SOPs, ensuring supplies.
• Maintain accurate donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Ensure a safe, clean work environment and compliance with HSE/OSHA policies.
