Job summary

CSL is hiring for a plasma processing technician in Cincinnati. You will collect plasma samples, ensure proper storage, and verify labeling accuracy. The role requires sterile technique, proper shipping procedures, and adherence to SOPs to maintain product quality.

You will monitor temperatures, perform daily equipment calibrations, and document donor information in the management system while upholding health, safety, and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• Basic math calculations required.
• Minimum of three months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Store plasma units according to SOPs, including handling unsuitable plasma units and samples.
• Verify accuracy of labeling by matching pre-printed labels with dynamic labels.
• Use sterile technique to draw samples and sealers to ensure sterility and quality.
• Pack and ship samples per SOPs and center procedures; prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report any equipment issues; record variances.
• Calibrate equipment daily as per SOPs.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain clean, safe working environment; follow HSE and OSHA policies; promote safety.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed; bilingual skills may be required.
