Job summary

CSL Akron is seeking a detail-oriented plasma sample collector to ensure accurate sampling, testing, shipping and storage in a fast-paced center. You will collect plasma samples, move units to the freezer, and verify labels while using sterile techniques per SOPs.

The role requires monitoring temperatures, maintaining records, following HSE/OSHA policies, and maintaining confidentiality of donor information. Overtime may be required and bilingual skills may be requested by the organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Ensure plasma units are stored according to SOPs.
• Verify pre-printed labels match dynamic labels for accurate unit labeling.
• Use sterile technique and heat sealer to maintain sterility and quality of plasma unit samples.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation as needed.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report any equipment issues.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
