Job summary

Octapharma Plasma is seeking a phlebotomy/plasmapheresis technician to perform venipuncture and plasma collection while upholding the highest safety standards. You will ensure regulatory compliance across FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP, and contribute to a positive donor experience.

Responsibilities include machine operation, maintenance, documentation, and collaboration with Quality Assurance to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• 3 months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.
• Training completed before duties independently.
• Ability to perform venipuncture.

Responsibilities

• Execute plasmapheresis and venipuncture procedures.
• Ensure compliance with FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP.
• Maintain donor experience and facility cleanliness.
• Review donor IDs, monitor conditions, and protect confidentiality.
• Set up equipment and label units accurately.
• Operate plasmapheresis machines and respond to alarms.
• Disinfect, dispose biohazard waste, and manage spills per protocol.
• Calibrate/maintain machines and document logs.
• Train team members as a designated trainer.
• Coordinate with QA on floor performance and CAPAs.
