Octapharma Plasma is seeking a plasmapheresis technician responsible for executing venipunctures and operating automated plasmapheresis machines. The role emphasizes donor safety, accurate labeling, and strict adherence to FDA, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP standards.

The candidate should maintain a high level of customer service, manage supplies, and document machine logs, with opportunities to mentor others as a designated trainer and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal procedures.
• Basic computer literacy and documentation ability.
• Willingness to work day/evening shifts, weekends, holidays.
• Venipuncture ability required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations (FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, GMP).
• Maintain donor experience and cleanliness of work areas.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for plasmapheresis and label samples correctly.
• Perform venipunctures and plasma collection with high safety standards.
• Operate plasmapheresis machines, respond to alarms, troubleshoot.
• Handle biohazard waste and equipment cleaning per safety protocols.
• Document machine logs and donor records.
• Mentor and train teammates as a designated trainer.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance on performance and CAPA.
