Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a donor center team member to greet donors, verify eligibility, and guide them through the screening and registration process. You will assist with health screenings and basic testing, while ensuring patient confidentiality and safety throughout the pheresis procedure.

Role includes educating donors on post-donation information, policies, and nutrition after training. This position may involve donor transfer duties and answering inquiries, with adherence to SOPs and health

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greeting donors at the plasma collection center and conducting registration procedures to verify donor suitability for the plasma pheresis process.
• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process in compliance with SOPs, including health history review and medical questions.
• Perform health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature, and finger stick for hematocrit and total protein levels.
• Educate donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma after training, and explain the screening and appointment process, policies, and nutrition.
• Register applicants and transfer donors based on training and center needs as applicable.
• Answer telephone inquiries or route calls to appropriate staff members.
• Monitor donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff as needed, and maintain confidentiality of information.
