Job summary

CSL Vifor in Kansas City, MO seeks a Donor Center Clerk to greet donors and verify suitability for plasma pheresis. You will support screening, perform health checks, and help donors with appointments and documentation.

You may educate donors about plasma-derived products and assist with data entry and donor flow. A high school diploma and clerical/customer service experience (3+ months) are required, with possible cross-training across center operations.

Qualifications

• Three months of clerical or customer service experience, preferably in medical or health provider setting.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organization’s discretion.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and verify donor suitability for the plasma pheresis process.
• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process as per SOPs, including health history and basic medical questions.
• Perform health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature; conduct finger sticks for hematocrit and total protein levels.
• Educate donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma and explain screening, tests, appointments, fees, and policies.
• Register and transfer donors as needed after appropriate training and center requirements.
• Answer telephone inquiries or route calls to the appropriate staff and maintain donor data in the electronic system.
• Maintain safety, confidentiality, and a clean work environment; follow HSE and OSHA policies; cross-train as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required to meet business needs.
