Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a phlebotomy-focused professional to support pheresis procedures and plasma collection. You will set up donors, monitor procedures, and ensure donor safety following SOPs and FDA guidelines.

The role requires donor education, data entry via a PDA, and quick troubleshooting of equipment while maintaining a positive donor experience and strict confidentiality. Training and cross-functional opportunities may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience as a phlebotomist; one year preferable.
• Minimum twelve (12) months of experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis and plasma collection per SOPs, including donor setup, monitoring and disconnect.
• Perform venipuncture to begin pheresis per SOPs and FDA guidelines.
• Evaluate donor vein performance and expedite donation time while ensuring safety.
• Educate donors on plasma products, screening, appointment system, policies and nutrition.
• Monitor for donor reactions and assist or escalate as needed.
• Record incidents with PDA and document process issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment and document maintenance/alarms.
• Maintain donor flow and ensure accurate donor data entry in the system.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
