Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to perform pheresis procedures and plasma collection in a fast-paced center. You will setup donors, monitor the process, and ensure donor safety according to SOPs.

This role requires venipuncture, donor screening, data entry via a PDA, equipment troubleshooting, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, compliant environment. High school diploma required; CSL Plasma DST training for internal applicants; 6 months external experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful CSL Plasma DST training for internal applicants.
• External candidates: minimum 6 months experience as a phlebotomist.
• Minimum 12 months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis procedures and plasma collection per SOPs.
• Perform venipuncture to begin pheresis process.
• Monitor donor vein performance and adjust as needed.
• Educate donors on donation process and policies.
• Monitor donors for reactions and assist as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data in the PDA-based system.
• Perform calibrations and respond to equipment alarms.
• Maintain donor floor flow and report issues.
• Collect arm or whole blood samples for testing.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
