Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a dedicated Donor Center Technician to perform pheresis and plasma collection following SOPs. You will handle donor setup, monitoring, venipuncture and disconnect while maintaining donor safety and product quality.

The role requires strong adherence to FDA guidelines, ability to educate donors, monitor for reactions and document all activities accurately in the donor information system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• External candidates must have a minimum of 6 months’ experience as a phlebotomist; 1 year preferred.
• Minimum 12 months experience in a medical/healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis procedures per SOPs including donor setup, monitoring and disconnect.
• Perform venipuncture to initiate pheresis following FDA guidelines.
• Evaluate donor vein performance and adjust to ensure efficiency, safety and donor experience.
• Educate donors on plasma products, screening, tests, fees, center policies and nutrition.
• Monitor donors for adverse reactions and assist or escalate as needed.
