Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a phlebotomist to collect plasma via pheresis and perform venipuncture per FDA guidelines. You will monitor donors, set up procedures, and ensure safe, efficient turnover on the donor floor.

Responsibilities include educating donors on screening, policies, and nutrition; documenting incidents with a PDA; and maintaining compliance with SOPs and safety rules in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Internal CSL Employees: must complete CSL Plasma DST training.
• External candidates: minimum 6 months’ phlebotomy experience; 12 months in healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis procedure and plasma collection per SOPs: donor setup, monitoring, and disconnect.
• Perform venipuncture to start pheresis per FDA guidelines.
• Evaluate vein performance and adjust to expedite donation while ensuring safety and quality.
• Educate new donors on donor processes, screening, appointment system, and policies.
• Monitor donor reactions and respond; document incidents with PDA and SOPs.
• Record donor data in electronic management system accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available.
