Job summary

Octapharma Plasma is seeking a Donor Center Technician to determine donor eligibility, collect plasma, and process products. You will ensure compliance with FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP while delivering exceptional donor experiences.

The role includes operating plasmapheresis equipment, monitoring donor safety, maintaining records, and supporting quality improvements across the center. A high school diploma and customer service experience are required.

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
• Ability to speak, read, write English clearly.
• Strong customer service, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to read, follow, and interpret regulations, instructions and manuals.
• Ability to understand verbal instruction.
• Ability to read numbers on screening equipment and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and conduct vitals testing per SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and industry regulations.
• Deliver high level customer service and donor experience.
• Set up and operate automated plasmapheresis equipment; troubleshoot alarms.
• Collect, process, and store plasma products and samples per SOPs.
• Maintain donor center equipment and perform quality control checks.
• Uphold cleanliness and FIFO inventory; manage biohazard waste.
• Maintain accurate recordkeeping and confidentiality per policy.
• Mentor and train junior technicians as a Designated Trainer.
• Oversee donor flow, scheduling, and center operations.
