Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is hiring a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) in Sioux City, IA. You will support plasma center operations by determining donor eligibility, reviewing test results, and addressing donor safety with the Center Manager and Center Physician.

The role requires state licensure as an EMT-Paramedic, CPR/AED certification, and at least two years in a clinical setting. You will collaborate with EHS and Medical Affairs to ensure compliant, high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent and nursing program credential as required by state.
• Licensed or certified EMT-Paramedic in the responsibility state.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Fulfill state IV therapy requirements.
• Complete BioLife Medical Support Specialist FDA training.
• Two years clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility; informed consent, medical history, testing and acceptance per SOPs.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs and standing orders.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance.
