Qualifications

• Must hold EMT-Paramedic license as required by the state.
• Current CPR and AED certification is required.
• Must satisfy FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, education and medical history review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues; ensure donor safety and eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs where applicable.
• Manage employee incidents with OSHA/EHS guidance and coordinate with occupational health.
• Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist with investigations.
