BioLife Plasma Services in Des Moines is seeking a part-time Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse). In this role, you will ensure donor eligibility and manage donor care, working under the guidance of the Plasma Center Manager and Center Physician.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, be currently licensed as an EMT-Paramedic, and possess CPR certification. Responsibilities include evaluating donor reactions and supporting health initiatives.

Formación

• Must meet state requirements for nursing certification.
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting required.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.

Responsabilidades

• Determine donor eligibility and manage donor adverse events.
• Evaluate donor reactions and support medical emergencies.
• Manage employee incidents and oversee vaccination programs.

Conocimientos

Currently licensed as EMT-Paramedic

Current CPR and AED certification

Clinical or hospital experience

Educación

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program
