BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary in Houston, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations and donor care. You determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review lab results, and assist in communicating results to donors.

Reporting to the Center Manager, you will follow SOPs and medical guidance, participate in vaccination programs, and uphold EHS standards. Two years clinical experience and LPN/LVN licensure are required.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent to include nursing program requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state for LPN/LVN responsibilities.
• CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Aufgaben

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, medical history and physical examination.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs and standing orders.
• Refer complex issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage incidents per Occupational Health/EHS guidance.
• Possible role as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
