Zusammenfassung

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to ensure donor eligibility, monitor reactions, review lab test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, following SOPs and regulations for plasma collection.

The role requires nursing-related education and licensure, CPR/AED, and state IV therapy qualifications.

Qualifikationen

• Determin donor eligibility including consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and manage medical emergencies with standing orders and donor transport to care facilities.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance on medical/technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and determine need for further evaluation by occupational health/ER; refer to EHS guidance.

Aufgaben

• Determine donor eligibility; ensure informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, history, exam, tests, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and activate SOPs for emergencies; coordinate transport when needed.
• Escalate to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings or technical guidance.
• Assist vaccination programs for staff and ensure compliance with health policies.
• Record and report employee incidents per EHS guidelines and company procedures.
