Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) in Spring, TX. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and support donor safety within a regulated plasma donation environment.

You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, ensuring compliance with SOPs, patient safety, and environmental health standards while supporting vaccination programs and incident management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program.
• State-issued RN/NP/PA licensure.
• CPR and AED certification.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, confidentiality, medical history interview, physical exam, blood testing, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs and standing orders; arrange donor transport if needed.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance on medical/technical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER; follow EHS guidance.
