Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support center operations in Texas. You will determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable results, under physician and manager guidance.

The role requires nursing licensure (LPN/LVN), CPR/AED, and clinical experience. You will collaborate with the Center Physician and Medical Affairs, support vaccination programs, and contribute

Qualifications

• Must hold LPN/LVN license in the state of responsibilities.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state IV therapy requirements.
• Complete FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, screening, history, and physical exam.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and coordinate with medical staff for emergencies.
• Refer medical findings to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance.
• Support vaccination programs (Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu) for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS as needed.
