Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations and donor care. You will determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review tests, and liaise with physicians for medical guidance in a compliant, fast-paced setting.

Role requires nursing licensure (LPN/LVN) and clinical experience, CPR/AED certification, and FDA training.

Qualifications

• CPR and AED certification current and valid.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Licensed or certified in the state of assignment (LPN/LVN).
• Complete FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training as required.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education and confidentiality.
• Assess donor safety by evaluating donor reactions and adverse events.
• Review laboratory test results and communicate unsuitable results to donors.
• Coordinate with Center Physician and Medical Affairs for medical guidance.
• Support vaccination programs and EHS-related health and safety activities.
