Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at the Liberty location in Missouri. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review test results, and notify donors of unsuitable findings under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

The role requires nursing licensure (LPN/LVN), CPR/AED certification, and familiarity with plasma collection regulations.

Qualifications

• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting as a baseline requirement.
• State nursing licensure (LPN/LVN) is required.
• Current CPR and AED certification must be maintained.
• Familiarity with basic IV therapy requirements as per state regulations.
• Completion of BioLife Medical Support Specialist FDA training.
• Knowledge of donor safety and eligibility processes.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history, and donor screening.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer complex medical issues to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs.
• Support vaccination programs for employees and incident investigations per EHS.

Skills
