Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support donor care and center operations. You will assess donor eligibility, monitor reactions, review test results, and notify donors of unsuitable findings under physician supervision.

The role requires nursing licensure, CPR/AED, and IV therapy qualifications, with responsibilities spanning safety, documentation, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced plasma center.

Qualifications

• LPN/LVN license or equivalent state license.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Basic IV therapy qualifications as required by state.
• FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history interview, and testing review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Consult Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings or medical/technical guidance.
• Support vaccination programs for employees (Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu).
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS.
