Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) in Liberty, MO to support plasma center operations and ensure donor eligibility. You will review medical histories, oversee adverse events, and communicate results to donors in accordance with SOPs.

You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, assisting with lab result reviews, safety programs, and employee health initiatives while complying with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Licensed practical nurse or licensed vocational nurse in the state of assignment.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Completion of state-required basic IV therapy prerequisites.
• Fulfills FDA BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Minimum of two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history review.
• Assess donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer for medical issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
• Support vaccination programs for employees and safety initiatives.
• Manage incidents with EHS guidance and assist in pandemic readiness.

2 years clinical experience
