Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda company, seeks a Medical Support Specialist to support center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review laboratory results, and notify donors of unsuitable findings, under supervision of Center Manager and Center Physician.

A clinical background is required with state licensure and CPR/AED certification. You will join a team focused on donor safety, program compliance, and EHS guidance within a fast-paced plasma collection environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent incl. nursing program.
• State licensure in EMT/PN/RN as applicable.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, education, medical history interview, and examination.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings or guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine need for occupational health evaluation.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations.
