Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma collection operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review lab results, and assist with adverse events under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

Requirements include RN/NP/PA licensure, CPR/AED, basic IV therapy, and FDA training, with about two years of clinical experience. Competitive benefits and a collaborative team environment offered.

Qualifications

• Nursing licensure or certification required (RN/NP/PA).
• CPR and AED certification current.
• IV therapy basics or state requirements must be fulfilled.
• FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training completed.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance criteria.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs and standing orders.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents following EHS guidance.
