Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, assess reactions, review tests, and notify donors of unsuitable results under supervision.

This role requires nursing licensure (LPN/LVN) and clinical experience, with CPR/AED and IV therapy qualifications. As part of Takeda/BioLife teams, you will contribute to employee vaccination programs and incident management following SOPs, under the

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program.
• Currently licensed or certified as LPN or LVN per state requirements.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state IV therapy requirements.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist completed.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and physical assessments.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer medical issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
• Support vaccination programs for employees.
• Monitor occupational health incidents and coordinate with EHS.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
