Qualifications

• State licensure in responsible role (EMT-P or RN/LPN) required.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
• Two years clinical or hospital experience required.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including consent, AIDS education, medical history and acceptance requirements.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical/technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER when needed.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support related investigations.

Education

Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (EMT-P) license/certification

CPR and AED certification

Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN)

Registered Nurse (RN)

Two years clinical or hospital experience
