BioLife Plasma Services in Eau Claire, Wisconsin is seeking a Plasma Center Medical Support Specialist (EMT-Paramedic). This part-time role reports to the Center Manager and supports donor eligibility, adverse events, and lab result reviews to ensure compliant operations.

The position requires state licensure as EMT-Paramedic, CPR/AED certification, basic IV therapy readiness, and two years of clinical or hospital experience, with FDA training completed for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Licensed or certified EMT-Paramedic in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy.
• Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsabilidades

• Determine donor eligibility; include informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing SPE.
• Evaluate donor reaction(s) as per SOPs and manage medical emergencies with standing orders and donor transport as needed.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues including donor safety and eligibility.
• Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and determine if occupational health/ER follow-up is required, referencing EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemics.
