Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; nursing program graduate; EMT-Paramedic licensure; CPR/AED; basic IV therapy training; FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist; minimum 2 years in a clinical/hospital setting.
• Role requires donor eligibility assessment, informed consent handling and adherence to SOPs.
• Experience with reviewing serological test results and coordinating donor safety.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, and self-exclusion.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies according to SOPs.
• Review SPE results and lab data; notify physicians as needed.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unclear findings.
• Support vaccination programs and EHS activities; assist with incident investigations.
