Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with state nursing program requirements
• Currently licensed or certified in the state for EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN or RN
• Current CPR and AED certification
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
• Satisfactorily complete FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and medical history
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unclear medical results
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and responses
