Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Columbus, GA is seeking an EMT-B to join our Plasma Center team as a Medical Support Specialist. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, manage adverse events, and ensure donor safety under Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

Requirements include EMT-B or higher licensure, CPR/AED certification, and clinical experience; FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist is required. Competitive hourly wage and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including graduate of a recognized nursing program or EMT training.
• Currently licensed in the state (EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, or EMT-P or LPN/LVN or RN).
• Current CPR and AED certification. FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist completed.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and acceptance requirements.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical issues and donor safety guidance.
• Support vaccination programs and incident reporting per EHS guidelines.
