Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Warren, MI seeks a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations and donor care. You will assess donor eligibility, review medical data, and address adverse events under physician guidance to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and nursing program credential.
• State licensure as EMT/Paramedic or RN/LPN may be required.
• Current CPR and AED certifications.
• Meet state requirements for IV therapy where applicable.
• Complete FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, history interview, physical exam and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer findings to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance.
• Support employee vaccination programs (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu).
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and occupational health input.
• Possibly act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
