Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations, determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable results.

The role reports to the Center Manager, requiring EMT/Paramedic or RN/LPN licensure, CPR/AED certification, and at least two years in a clinical setting. FDA training is required. On-site position with Takeda BioLife and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed healthcare professional (EMT/Paramedic or RN/LPN) with state requirements.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and medical history.
• Manage donor adverse events and respond per SOPs.
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Support donor safety and vaccination programs as applicable.
