Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is hiring a Medical Support Specialist at our Pittsburgh plasma center. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor events, review tests, and ensure donor safety in a fast-paced environment. EMT licensure and CPR/AED are required with hospital experience preferred.

You will work under the Center Manager and collaborate with Medical Affairs to follow SOPs and center policies, including vaccination programs and occupational health guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with nursing program background.
• Current state EMT licensure (B, A, I, or P) and CPR/AED certification.
• Experience in clinical or hospital settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and informed consent per SOPs.
• Manage donor adverse events and physical/medical assessments.
• Review lab test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Support vaccination programs and health and safety guidelines.
