BioLife Plasma Services in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) with EMT-Paramedic licensure to support daily plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review lab results and communicate outcomes to donors under physician guidance.

Responsibilities include following SOPs for emergencies, supporting vaccination programs, and coordinating with the Center Physician and Medical Affairs as needed; at least two

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; licensed EMT-Paramedic with state requirements.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsabilités

• Determine donor eligibility; obtain informed consent and review medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs and address occupational health matters.
