Job summary

Dow's Emulsions/Polymers production facility in Knoxville, TN, United States is seeking an Operations Performance Engineer. You will drive EH&S excellence, reliability, efficiency and low cost to produce while partnering with Operations, Maintenance and EH&S teams to optimize plant performance.

As a key member of a smaller site, you will gain exposure across technical and operational areas, develop leadership capabilities, and contribute to safe, reliable production of quality products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering by Jan 2027; chemical or mechanical preferred.
• U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship is required.
• Experience in a chemical production facility and coatings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations to apply problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
• Reference historical data and consult SMEs to optimize plant performance.
• Ensure MET is understood and used; leverage process automation where applicable.
• Diagnose root causes of asset utilization losses and implement improvements.
• Conduct daily logbook and alarm reviews to monitor plant operation.
• Maintain daily KPIs and respond urgently to plant issues.
