Job summary

Dow's Emulsions/Polymers plant in Knoxville, TN seeks an Operations Performance Engineer to drive EH&S excellence, reliability, and cost efficiency across the site. The role partners with Operations, Maintenance, and other functions to optimize performance and deliver high-quality products.

You will work in a smaller site setting with broad exposure to technical and leadership development opportunities, including leading investigations and implementing corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering by January 2027; chemical or mechanical preferred.
• Experience in a chemical production facility is preferred.
• Experience in coatings is preferred.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations team to apply problem-solving and technical expertise.
• Leverage MET and field knowledge to optimize plant performance.
• Monitor KPI trends and respond to plant issues and emergencies.
• Lead root-cause analyses for asset utilization losses and drive improvements.
• Support on-call rotation and ensure compliance with permits.
